Each iPad comes with a tough case with kick stand and with or without a strap, depending on your preference. Only the Speech Cases incur an additional charge. Each iPad or dynamic device requested for hire has a one time setup fee of $193.99.  iPad Setup fee is for preparation of the iPad for hire including:

  • Removal of all personal information from the previous hirer.
  • Updating firmware.
  • Loading the iTunes account which contains the apps requested for hire.
  • Logging into / setting up accounts which require subscriptions e.g. Proloquo, Grid for iPad.
  • Loading voices onto the app and ensuring that the voices are updated.
  • Setting up page sets and grid layouts.

iPads are available to hire with software pre-installed. The hire fee is a flat rate no matter how many apps you trial. View apps here: iPad apps page.

Note: If you would like to purchase your own iPad after trialling one of ours,  Beyond the Box (registered NDIS provider) can sell you a device with a case and an Apple gift card to the amount of the required AAC app.
